BC Yukon Convention, June 2nd–5th, 2022
Vancouver Island Conference Centre
101 Gordon St, Nanaimo, BC – (250) 244-4050

If you are interested in attending the convention, you may come as an observer. You must be a member in good standing & pay $35 as well as being registered by May 15th. see below.

OBSERVERS – Any member who is not an officially accredited delegate is eligible to attend as an observer. Activities aren’t planned for observers. However, observers may attend the daily business sessions and workshops, and will be required to pre-register and show their name tag upon entry to the convention floor and workshops.

Please send in the names of any observers attending from your branch. If we receive the names in advance, we are able to print proper name tags for them. We hope local branch members will take advantage of attending these sessions to be part of the camaraderie and learning experience.
Observers will be seated with voting delegates on the floor of the convention. Seating observers with voting delegates ensure that all members at the convention are treated as equals and allowed all benefits of full membership. To ensure that only those delegates who are official are allowed to vote – voting cards will be issued to each official delegate. When the chair calls for a vote the appropriate card will be raised for counting purposes.

NAME TAGS – Name tags for both official delegates and observers will be printed based on what is indicated on the credential certificate (please print clearly). Observers will pick up their name tags at the credentials registration check-in desk along with the official voting delegates.

REGISTRATION FEE – The Provincial Executive Council has approved the registration fee of $70.00 (includes tax) for official delegates and $35.00 (includes tax) for all observers. Registration fees are payable in advance by cheque and should be attached to the completed credential certificate, then returned to the Command office. NSF fees will apply to those cheques that have to be returned for insufficient funds.

A cheque in the appropriate amount for your delegate(s) attending and made payable to “BC/Yukon Command” – earmarked “Convention Registration” needs to reach the Command Office by May 15th, 2022.
